AV123 announces a program to bridge the gap between traditional retail and online audio shopping.
Ambassadors in Audio…
Greetings from Cali, Colombia… This is a very special day for me as one
of my dreams is about to become a reality. This is a bit of a complex
story – but one that I think you will all like.
For some time I have watched our forums pick up steam and really move
nicely into a place where we can all relax and enjoy our mutual
interest in our audio/video systems. For sure there have been some
squabbles along the way (what family doesn’t argue from time to time) –
but for the most part we are a Community that enjoys one anothers
company and advice…
But what about the “newbies”… These are folks that happen in and see
all of the hubbub from up close – and many of them wonder is this a
place where they can participate, and get to know the joys (and the
sorrows) that all of us share in “our quest” for a better system – and
maybe even a better life as a result of this. I often wonder how they
felt when they signed up and see our un-edited ~ un-censored goings on…
I spoke with several recently and the overwhelming feedback was EXTREMELY
positive. They made some really great observations about the “helping”
that goes on here – the love that’s shared – and even the pain when
something is broken and how even the “controversial topics” (and
people) are dealt with…
I also learned one fact that has continuously emerged in my chats with
these folks… I’ve had several tell me that they wish they had a guy or
two to go to in order to ask questions about Product – System Ideas –
or even “how we do things at av123” without sticking their collective
feet in their mouths or immediately engaging (bad word – but one that
was used three times) our sales staff… Sort of a test the waters safely
place...
It was then and there that I decided with needed a few “av123 Ambassadors in Audio”…
I started approaching a few guys with this idea – and then ran it past
a few more at av123. Today I can honestly say that the two guys I have
chosen are JUST RIGHT. Both of these guys are well respected
members of our Community At Large and are SUPER valued (even cherished)
by most everyone here – and, are people that have “the help gene” as a
major part of their makeup…
Jack Richard (Ajax) is someone I have come to love dearly as I’ve had
to privilege in getting to know him better and better over these many
years. Jack is MY KIND OF GUY… I’m not going to lay it on too thick
here – but we all know I really love this man dearly and completely –
and his knowledge of our products, and others, makes him a great
candidate for what I’m trying to accomplish here…
… and then there is Scott Day. Skeeter99 is “special” – Skeeter is
“unique” – Skeeter is “perfect” for this Ambassadorial Role… Scott is
so well loved and respected in these quarters, I hoped from the first
moment that he would accept my offer and join us in this capacity… His
passion, like Jack’s is overflowing for what we are trying to do here
every day. At times we are two steps forward – one step back… but these
guys will help us get better… I know it…
Their role is simply this. When we get a new forum member join up, they
will receive a letter from one of these guys inviting them to ask any
questions they might like – talk product – talk systems – talk ANYTHING
related to av123. They are “Greeters” for sure – but more – they are a
modern day “Welcoming Committee” for a Community like ours…
We will give Jack and Scott tons of freedom within our business so that
they will be able to help these folks (or anyone that wants to look
deeper in an unofficial way) plan systems and deliveries. Both Scott
and Jack will be tethered to an av123 sales rep, so harder questions
can be answered immediately, and ALWAYS with honesty and integrity. Our
sales reps will conclude any sales generated from these contacts…
This program will take a few weeks to take hold – and take shape (if
you will)… but we want you all to know about this NOW. We also want to
openly declare that both of these gentlemen will be compensated for
these efforts – so they are (in fact) paid ambassadors. Make no mistake
about that… We have other ideas for these guys – but for today – they
will meet and greet ---- and help anyone that wants to talk product and
plan systems… all in the name of giving our three guys on the lines
every day a bit of a hand along the way.
How do you like this idea? I’m very excited about it – and I want to
declare this moment something pretty special for all of us.
